a real good point and something that always strikes me as dumb when the old my dad is tougher then your dad argument about the big carnivores comes up.
The longer the snout, the less biting pressure, the more chance of damaging your jaw when biting something really big. Spino had this problem..T-rex didn't. Its head is all for killing big things... but a strengthened spino skull makes things a little diffrent.
p.s you can use this exact argument with sarcosuchus and deinosuchus. Sure sarco may be bigger but deinosuchus is far, far more dangerous!
