Here is a paper that discusses the sedimentologic effects of the impact:

Izett, G.A., W.A. Cobban, J.D. Obradovich, and M.J. Kunk. 1993. The
Manson impact structure: Ar-40/Ar-39 age and its distal impact ejecta in
the Pierre Shale in southeastern South Dakota. Science 262: 729-732.

Izett et al.'s bibliography should contain some good references on
Manson's deposits and the specific biozone in other parts of the Midwest.
