Perhaps he has changed his opinion meanwhile. I once got the opportunity to
discuss directly with him. He asked (paraphrasing) "what is a coelurosaur?
or, for that matter, what is a dinosaur?", implying that both were very
poorly supported -- and I sent him the definitions, the currently
hypothesized contents, and the long lists of synapomorphies of both groups
(for Coelurosauria I took Rauhut's thesis -- impressive!). Seems not to be
what he expected; I still haven't received an answer. (Though I must mention
that Feduccia seems to be quite busy.)
