snouts of dinosaurs and crocodilians
Hello,
I am wondering if anyone can explain the structure of the scales on the
heads of extant crocodilians; the scales do not look at all like those of
the rest of the body. The ridges and hornlets seem to correspond with the
extensive grooves on many crocodilian skulls. Could this in any way
correlate to the patterns of grooves seen on theropods such as
Carcharodontosaurus and Rugops?
Thanks in advance,
Andrew McDonald
