Re: Mauricio's Mastery

Hi List,

My recent truncated post referred to by Mary just now relate to a lunch that
a privileged few of us had at last year's SVP, in which Mauricio Anton
unveiled some splendid drawings that were destined to appear in his recent book
on
African paleomammal evolution. If the book is anything like his last two it
will
be superb, these books having been valuable references for some of my own in
progress reconstructions of late Oligocene--early Pliocene mammals of the John
Day Formation, East Oregon. We are all lucky that Mauricio is still with us--
he and his family are railway users in Madrid, the scene of the devastating
train bombings.
