Please forgive boorish post. What I meant to say was that as JimC says,
data is data. The data at the big end of the scale are
insignificant. Representing them on log scale makes it appear
significant. But, in reality, while there is a lot of difference between
a hummingbird
and a horse interms of O2/gm, there is a _tiny_ diference between horse
and
elephant--and far less still between an elephant and a mega-dinosaur.
