Not quite, it's a river bend. 

Doing a lightly snowy Hell Creek might be OK in order to show it was not a 
perpetual tropical hothouse. On the broader scene a number of recent papers 
have 
presented evidence for modest ice caps on Antarctica during the Cretaceous.
