Unless cyclonic winds occurred every day where these animals were living, it
would be unreasonable to expect them to have adapted to survive them, IMHO.
If you're talking about extremes, then yes, I'd say sauropods suffered ill
effects because of them...as well as any other animals in the vicinity.
Imagine the effect on, say, an Allosaurus, or even the diminutive
Dryosaurus. Animals die in today's cyclonic wind situations (hurricanes,
tornadoes), I see no reason why they wouldn't have suffered back in the
Jurassic, be it because they were literally blown over, or because they were
tossed through the air like a rag doll.
Ok, does that make any sense at all?
