Re: Billings Gazette Article on Horner

Hi all,

I am starting to find Mr. Horners version of T. Rex getting a little bit
tiresome.

I realise that while the debate rages it does nothing but increase public
awareness, which inturn augments funding for research.... which is a good
thing , and personally I 'd like to see more of it....but back to the point,
Mr Horner would have us believe that Rexy was about as useless as teats on a
bull. The poor thing couldn't run , his arms were so puny that they were
useless, and if he should ,god forbid fall over he would be crushed by his
own weight, and all he could do to feed himself, was to scare off other
sucessful predators(?) with his ugly looks and bad breath.....What next
?...Sauropods had to live in swamps ,"cause they were so huge that they
couldnt possibly carry their own weight.
T.Rex was probably a very good scavenger, and no doubt a successful hunter
as well, and even if it "proves" in the future (?????) that Rexy was an
obligate scavenger, is not the point, the point is that T.Rex was a large
,robust animal, and not some fragile ...lucky to live from day to day,
spending all of its time terrified that he may slip and fall....nancy boy
Please, give this magestic animal its dues !.......It deserves nothing
less.
