PhD Student - fossil protection

Hello,

I've been following the list for a few months but haven't introduced myself
yet.  I'm a PhD student at the Australian National University and my thesis
topic is the protection of Australian fossils.  I'm not a palaeontologist
(archaeology and commerce degree), but becasue of the nature of the problem
there is, of course, a lot of science involved.  I'm taking  a very
multi-disciplinary approach, using a very broad defintion of regulation as
my theoretical framework.

I don't want to go on about my topic here, (and bore you all to death!) but
if anyone is interested in contacting me to talk about fossil protection or
offer advice on resources I would appreciate it.

The main reason I'm posting this message though, is to ask about some places
I would like to visit next year as part of my fieldwork.  I'm hoping to
visit Chicago, Alberta Canada, Wyoming, London and maybe Germany.  If anyone
has any advice about visitng these places or any interesting contacts at
Universities and Musuems there I would appreciate your help.
My approach to fieldwork has been case study based and I've tried to talk to
all interested parties, so, scientists, collectors, dealers, amateurs, land
owners etc etc.  If anyone can recommend people I could talk to that would
be great!
