I don't know if Emausaurus is a member of the Huayangosaurid family, but I
think that it's a basal Stegosaur closely related to Huayangosaurus. Infact
in Huayangosaurus and Emausaurus the snout is shorter and higher than in
Paranthodon, Tuojiangosaurus, and Stegosaurus which has a long, low and
narrow snout. The external nares of Huayangosaurus and Emausaurus are small
while it's large to very large in Paranthodon, Tuojiangosaurus,
Chungkingosaurus, and Stegosaurus. The caudodorsal process of the premaxilla
doesn't reach the lacrimal and is short and broad in Huayangosaurus and
Eumausaurus, while it doesn't reach the lacrimal also in Paranthodon,
Chungkingosaurus, and Stegosaurus but is long and thin or long and broad
(Paranthodon). The premaxillae of Huayangosaurus and Emausaurus bears
premaxillary teeth, absent in Paranthodon, Chungkingosaurus,
Tuojiangosaurus, and Stegosaurus. A subtriangular antorbital fenestra is
present in Huayangosaurus and Emausaurus, but absent in Chungkingosaurus,
Tuojiangosaurus, and Stegosaurus. OK Tommy this is part of the comparison
that I've made some time ago, but I don't known if the characters listed
above are useful in some way to understanding the relationships of
Emausaurus.
