Answering my own question (was E. becklessi/becklesii/becklessii)

Okay,
I think I got it all figured out.  The name is honoring Samuel H. Beckles.
Adding an ?i? at the end of a proper or common noun is the Latin equivalent
of an apostrophe S (?s) in English, which denotes the possessive use of a
noun.  However, if the name already ends in an s, and adding an apostrophe S
(?s) would result in an awkward or unpleasant sound or visual effect, a
solitary apostrophe (?) is all that is necessary.
So am I right in assuming the addition of two I?s (ii) is the Latin
equivalent of the solitary apostrophe (?) rule?  Or am I merely ?Crazier then
an outhouse rat??
