Re: Horner at the NHM



Seems that Horner likes to ask where's the evidence for T.rex being a predator. Well in that case one question is, which raptors are capable for doing this? And what evidence is there to support such a claim? I'm still convinced that T.rex was the top carnivore of its time! Got an article written for a up coming issue of PT on the whole predator/scavenger issue, its basically more of a review. But, on the whole part on Horner, I still find him one of my favorites anyway.

Really _big_ raptors :-) I have to
say I found this profoundly unconvincing.  Even _Utahraptor_ doesn't
come in about a tonne; it's asking a lot for one-tonne animals to
_regularly_ take out eight-ton _Triceratops_ individuals (not to
mention that it was 55 million years too early!)
