D. brevitertius and D. samueli
Good evening everybody :-)
Once again, I could use a bit of help with Dromiceiomimus' two species names:
D. brevitertius and D. samueli. I know brevitertius means "Short third," but
to what is it referring? The third metatarsal? And I know samueli is honoring
someone by the name of Samuel, but I was unable to find Parks' inspiration for
the name.
BTW, is D. samueli synonymous with the type species? Or was it's possible
inclusion with the type species merely speculation?
Thanks in advance,
Tommy Bradley
