Tom Hopp's new dino novel
Hi all,
Just a quick commercial note to let you all know that my second novel,
DINOSAUR WARS: COUNTERATTACK, is now available from bookstores and
Amazon.com. Its pages contain feathered megaraptors, a microraptor acting
scansorial, some rather hairy looking ornithiscians, and my answer to the
scaly dinosauroid, the feathered Kra, back to challenge mankind for ownership
of the planet.
For a gander at a megaraptor fully cloaked in falcon-like feathers, you
can check out the book's cover (painted by yours truly) on the web page
below, or follow the links to read some sample pages or buy the book or
e-book.
Here's the blurb from the B&N.com web page:
Dinos are coming for dinnerâand youâre on the menu!
The young hero and heroine, Chase Armstrong and Kit Daniels, survived the
first Dinosaur War when a human-sized, intelligent species of dinosaurs
returned from space to reclaim their home worldâOUR WORLD! Now, the tentative
peace between the invaders and the US military is breaking down. Our bombers
and tanks are on the move again, as are the fighting machines of the Kra
armies. In the midst of the renewed turmoil, Kit and Chaseâs new romance
breaks down as well. Now they must each try to survive alone. Will they find
their way back together, or end up as some carnivoreâs grisly meal? The
science behind Dinosaur Wars: Counterattack is fully up-to-date. The deadly
Megaraptors, larger than Spielbergâs Velociraptors, are fully covered in
feathers, the way paleontologists now know they were. Other great beasts of
the Cretaceous Era are portrayed in accurate detail as well. A good story,
though, hinges on interesting human characters. I hope you will find the
young adventurers, Kit and Chase, to be the sort of heroes who make you want
to join their quest for survival and love. Think 'Star Wars meets Jurassic
Park,' and youâll have a feel for what the book is all about. Counterattack
was written in adult-level English and is suitable for all ages to enjoy. If
you are a fan of action, adventure, dinosaurs, and a little light romance, I
hope you will find this new book to your liking. âThomas P. Hopp
So there you have it, my second foray into science fiction publishing. This
