Theropod-eating spiders # 2

Thanks for list members for forwarding some leads. Another taxon, not related to the mygalomorph spiders, is Nephila, found throughout the Amazon. My query: is this the taxon that hangs from trees, its web used almost like a fisherman's net to capture bats and theropods? As I recall, the San Diego museum has a specimen of this encased in glass (I was a child of the roaring 1950s when I saw it), larger than a dinner platter.
