Use of the new Allosaurus name
Folks,
First off: howdy! I'm back from the Galapagos, where I saw many cool
things. First time for me to see flightless cormorants in the flesh: not a
bad model in some ways for living hesperornithiforms (or at least basal
hesperornithiforms). Also saw (and heard... urgh...) the _Geochelone_
version of the HBO series "Oz"... :-S
As for the "AJ" matter: no, the new _Allosaurus_ species is not officially
named yet. It will be very soon: PLEASE be patient!! Chure's monograph is
well worth the wait, and will correct a lot of problems in typical
illustrations of _Allosaurus fragilis_.
