Much of the geology was interpreted by A&E as less interesting to
audiences than big dinosaur stuff and was cut. The early versions
didn't really resemble what you saw all that much. Much more science.
Isn't it always the way... Point taken about the animation. I'd like to
avoid a list argument about graphics too!

Hmmm...I guess that scene must have gotten removed from the final
version of the foreign edit. I guess we have a few months to wait
before that hits the air then.
Well, the brief bits of footage didn't seem particularly bad, IMHO. If it
is any consolation, I think Jenny Clack wins the award for "Humiliation
among scientific community by TV production company" for the Horizon
programme citing her as Palaeontology's Avenging Angel. Her graduate
student stopped the video and played that particular bit over and over again
for us...
