Stopping and dropping threads

Dino-list central would like to remind readers, writers and lurkers that the 
proper way to complain about/stop a thread that is a) not interesting to them, 
b) has gone on too long, c) has become an abomination d) any combination of the 
previous is to write to Mickey Rowe and/or me and _not_ to the list.
