As a list member who rarely contributes to the threads here, but reads almost 
all of them (I work primarily with mosasaurs, and as a morphologist and 
biostratigrapher, not primarily a systematist), I just want to offer a quick 
word of thanks for this much needed "reality check." I think the list would 
*greatly* benefit by taking heed of its keen observations.
