Handedness in Birds, Handedness in Dinos?
Late last year there was a report about a species of crow (New Caledonian
crow) that appeared to exhibit handedness based its behavior of making
tools out of leaves.
Big stretch: assuming the bird/dino link, what about handedness in dinos?
This would probably only apply to theropods, what with having free
forelimbs.
Is there evidence, such as brain lateralization? More development on one
forelimb over the other? Perhaps wear or other signs of use on the snout
(indicating a preference for looking out one eye to guide the mouth)?
