Erm...I hope I didn't write that.  Pleurocoelus is actually, as was
mentioned earlier, the official state dinosaur of Texas.  Texas has not
designated a state fossil (at least by that name).  And, yes, the state
stone is petrified palm wood.

I seem to remember dubbing Pleurocoelus as "state dinosaur" in my Fossil
News article...I guess I'll have to wait until my issue arrives to see.

Ah, I see the problem now. Whom ever put the state fossil: Pleurocoelus in
the Texas state map left off the quotes around state fossil, which has a
different meaning in what you wanted to write. Hazards of printing eh...
