Actually, they are acronyms not initials...

It takes a little bit time to get used to but shorthand internet terms are 
prevalant in many cases.  i.e. I once wrote to the Dinosauricon guest book 
and received a response that contained the acronym TMK which I assumed to be 
the author's initials which [unfortunately] fit right into the post.

Ahh...but, sir, you ask for much. Alas, if we changed our typing habits for 
you then one might expect us to change our speaking habits and then our 
eating habits and then our working habits and finally our mental habits and 
then we would all be like you and the world would be simply put...Mark 
Foster.  And thus it has been that a confounding thought has entered the 
presence of my e-mail box and sent my mind away like a runaway caboose like 
the thought of one other.
