I didn't think Sereno 1986 had explicit or even implicit defifinitions.
Unfortunately i don't have a copy handy to check. I do have his 1998 N.
Jb. Geol. Palaeont. Abh. however. Unfortunately the definitions there
are going to cause even more confusion.
Eurypoda = (Stegosaurus + Ankylosaurus)
Ankylosauria = (Ankylosaurus <--- Stegosaurus)
Ankylosauridae = (Ankylosaurus <--- Panoplosaurus)
Ankylosaurinae = (Ankylosaurus <--- Shamosaurus, Minmi)
Nodosauridae = (Panoplosaurus <--- Ankylosaurus)
Nodosaurinae = (Panoplosaurus <--- Sarcolestes, Hylaeosaurus)
Once again we have taxa defined on anchors other than their eponyms.
cheers
