Re: Dinosauria vocalizations



Very low sounds (such as the infrasonic communications of large animals) carry
across great distances, but their source is difficult to locate.  (By the way,
giraffes vocalize at low volumes, so it isn't likely that their voices carry
far).  These aspects may be useful for prey species.  Extant elephants also
stamp their feet when agitated, and other elephants can receive this vibration
from considerable distances.
