   It may be something as simple as having retained
the primitive state of the ITF. Or, maybe they needed
the extra muscle mass to pierce the thick hides of
titanosaur prey? Just speculation.

Or that part was filled up with air, I wouldn't want to be the one walking around with that big head, fill with that much muscle mass.
