K Vultures? (Was Re: Regarding Spinosaurus)



All of this rasies a question in my mind. With all of this discussion of
scavenging and what not, and comparisons with vultures, I ask myself:
In the late Cretaceous, with pterosaurs being not very prevelant anymore,
were there any known airborn scavengers known (mainly of the avian
persuasion)? Were there any vultures, or "protovultures" if you will?
Anyways, just wondering...I feel ashamed for starting another bird thread,
I'm sure...;)
