Is it true that most pterosaurs are thought to be shoreline animals?
If so, could a tendency to *not* use trees help explain this (i.e. would being restricted to flat ground for taking-off/landing expose them to more predators inland than it would at a shoreline, esp. one with hard-to-access cliffs)?
While reading your post i was thinking that i've only heard azhdarchids talked about as inland animals before, and that's a pretty small sample out of all Pterosauria.
