According to Tony D. Williams, The Penguins (Oxford University Press, 1995),
pg 260. Range: Endemic and restricted to Galapagos Is.; breeds on Fernandina
Is. and on North and West coats of Isabela Is. and may also breed in small
numbers on Bartholomew near Santiago Is.; juveniles and adult non-breeders
recorded occasionally on Santiago, Santa Cruz, San Cristobal, Rabiba, and
Floreana Is. One record on Pacific coast of Panama (possibly of a bird
released from a ship).
