Rant alert!

I suppose you are kinda right. The JP3 Spinosaurus (even at its massive 
size, it seems a poor match for the T.rex) was stuffed with so many gimmicks 
just to make it a badass (and to survive the fight in the first place), it 
became stale and how do you put it? The entire idea *Chao Sheng (*Went 
Putrid). One or two gimmicks is fine here and there, but it was painfully 
obvious that the entire movie was packed to the brim with marketing gimmicks 
with virtually every dinosaur in a vain attempt to generate public interest 
in supposedly making the entire movie "darker" and "more serious", but I 
think that was the very effect the movie lacked. But then again, what choice 
did they have? The main problem with JP sequels is that they have to live in 
the shadow of the first movie, and to make the other movies worth watching, 
they had to resort to more and more stuff (more Tyrannosaurs in TLW, 
overdone dinos in JP3) till people don't buy it anymore. Okay, rant over.

On the other hand, what the heck was that dino at the done-in-poor-taste 
dung scene? A Ceratosaurus? A Carnotaurus? It looked like some kind of 
stange Tyrannosaurid with a horn to me.
