See comments by Upchurch (Neck Posture of Sauropod Dinosaurs,
Science 2000; 287: 547) in response to the above article and reply by the authors. Upchurch pointed out that they used rather unreliable (for Apatosaurus) & incomplete (for Diplodocus) data to arrive at their conclusion. The reply by the authors was not very convincing.
