Delgado's Gwangi

       I just bumped into these photos I've never seen before and thought 
might interest some of you. They are misidentified at the eBay site as 
animation models for "The Animal World"(1956). In reality, they are several 
views of the "Allosaurus" animation model along with the clay sculpture and 
plaster cast of same sculpted by Marcel Delgado in the early 1940's. The 
original Willis O'Brien "Gwangi" was never produced. Ray Harryhausen made his 
version in the late 1960's. This is a neat model (note the dewlap). I hope 
the cast still exists somewhere. DV
