New Mauricio Anton Book

       The friendly man from UPS with the smelly cigar just brought my copy 
of _Mammoths, Sabertooths, and Hominids_by Jordi Agusti and Mauricio Anton. 
Woof! I've a load of work to do and this treasure trove of gorgeous pencil 
restorations by Mauricio is going to be one hell of a temptation. I know it's 
blasphemy, but finally we're begining to get good new popular work on the 
post K/T. The amount of study and work that has gone into the illustrations 
here is mind-boggling. This makes a fine companion to _The Big Cats and Their 
Fossil Relatives_by Turner and Anton. DV
