Many Indian traditions associate Devils Tower with a giant bear clawing the 
sides of the volcano. But one tale actually refers to finding the large claws 
of the giant bear in the area. Are Jurassic-Cretaceous dino fossils possible 
in the Sundance and Inyan Kara-Morrison formations around the Tower? 
Alternatively, could the Belle Fourche River contain any alluvial Pleistocene 
fossils?

Much obliged for any advice.
