For an animal in flight, with wings extended -- it is a nosedown rotation of the
wingspar  approximately about its long axis.

My intent was just to bring it up.  I'm not interested in testing it, but
thought others might be.  For an example the type of rotation I'm talking about,
look at a sea turtle's front limb rotation during the downstroke, relative to
that of a bird or bat.
