Re: Just a heads up

Dear Jordan,

Yes, I think that as a professional courtesy we should all watch out for and
inform other paleoartists when we come across their work being used in an
illicit manner.
To pursue Dan's line of thought, we should also jointly come up with a fairly
precise definition of what's termed "fair use". I'm always pleased (and
complimented) when I see my work used by a professional paleontologist in the
context of a lecture to  illustrate some point he or she wants to make;
whether or not my name is mentioned, I feel that this obviously falls into a
legitimate fair use catagory; not so some site or publication that blatantly
uses one's image for the purpose of commercial exploitation.
