While I haven't read the article you mention I am picking it is our very own
Dr. JOAN Wiffen you are referring to, not Jane.
Joan is a New Zealand living treasure. Well into her 80's she is still
spending time up to her armpits in the cold creek waters of the Hawk'es Bay
region searching for fossils!
