Okay,

Mike Keesey adds a very nice hyper-arctomet pes refered to
*Ornithomimus* as *O. minutus*, but this is a mononykine. So there are
remains of two NA mononykes presently. There was some question of what I
was talking about at the end, and because Tim and I pretty much blew the
lid off of it already, we can mention *Rapator ornitholestoides*, but it
was my feeling that because there is in prep publication on this subject,
we should at least keep the discussion down. As for the others ... there
has already been statements to the effect that discussion on this _will_
affect publication. Otherwise, all things apply.

  Cheers,

Well, I will no longer make comments on whether or not things should be
discussed on this list. I, ah, was a bit to, ah, voicerist (like that's even
a word!) about this subject and have been told so (probably rightly, and in
the same manner that I posted to the list). So, even thou paleontology, the
science there in, is and has been a large part of my life and I take it very
seriously, will not comment on such matters on this list, either for or
against. Let the cards fall where they may.

That aside, I like the fact that there are mononykines in NA, this adds to
the supposed SA families into NA (and vice a versa) and there was probably a
larger amount of cross 'traffic' than is generally thought.
