*** SVP MONTANA ***

Howdy from Big Wonderful Wyoming!
(That would be the big square fossiliferous area of land above Colorado,
which contains the first National Park often seen in travel brochures for
Idaho and Montana)

I would like to encourage everyone attending this year's annual meeting
of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology (October 3-6) in Bozeman,
Montana to add at least one item for the auction in their luggage. This
year's auction will be held at the Bozeman Fairgrounds from 7-10:30 pm on
Friday, October 5th, where there will be copious quantities of food (yes,
real dinner type grub) and drink. Frequent shuttle service (or "stage
coaches") will be provided.

This year's auction will benefit the Government Affairs Fund and support
SVP's Electronic Communications and Publications. As we are again going
for the infamous target goal of $20K, we need as many donations as
possible. These may include casts, books, reprints, artwork, toys,
t-shirts, whatever (excluding fossils). No item is too small. If you
don't have something in your possession that you wish to part with, go to
one of your local stores and pick up some fun prehistoric animal novelty
items (e.g., Jurassic Park III action figures). Finally, unusual or
eccentric donations are always encouraged. Remember to support SVP by
donating and bidding early and often.

Thank you in advance for making the SVP Auction a "rip roaring" success
in Bozeman.
See you in Montana!

Cheers,
Brent Breithaupt
Chair, SVP Auction Committee
