I overstated myself, slightly. Therizinosaurs do in fact have a slight twist,
but this is
mediocre, and resembles *Ingenia* and caenagnathids more than anything, even
though the twist is
not apparent. Ornithomimosaurs do lack the twist primitively, but this seems
related to feeding
styles. It does nothing to phylogeny, but neither would therizinosaur loss.
