       I suspect that the date refers to McIntosh and Berman's 1975 paper, " 
Description of the palate and lower jaw of Diplodocus...with remarks on the 
nature of the skull of Apatosaurus. J.Paleontol. 49: 187-199. This was when 
the great (and satisfying) switcheroo was made with the skull of Apatosaurus. 
It was a big deal back then, but most of you out there were probably stem 
cells at the time. DV
