A bit of confusion: Schmidt is thinking about Amphicoelias fragillimus, not
Sauroposeidon. Sauroposiedon's fossils are in collections, and it is indeed
quite a large dinosaur. However, I do not recall any indication that it is
larger than the Argentine giants (Argyrosaurus, Argentionsaurus) or their
kissing-cousin from Egypt (Paralititan).

Sauroposeidon does indeed seem to be a brachiosaurid similar to
Brachiosaurus.
