masiakasaurus and scanners
Hey Everybody!
Quick Question:
Does anyone know what a good kind of scanner is? I'm asking because I have
amassed a large about of recent dinosaur work and would like to put it on my
site to get your all's opinion on it.
Real Post starts here!
I recently finished a drawing of Masiakasaurus knopfleri and I was wondering
how many people have drawn this animal. I noticed drastic difference between
Bill Parsons original drawing and the skeletal reconstruction by Matt
Simmons. One is that Parsons' drawing has a larger series of teeth in the
mandible and two is that Parsons' drawing gives the abelisaur large orbital
bars. I remember from PDW that classic predatory dinosaurs aren't supposed
to have the orbital bars seen in predatory birds.
Is it possible that Elaphrosaurus, Chuandongocoelurus (spell?), and
Masiakasaurus form a clade within the Noasauridae, maybe a Masiakasaurinae
or Elaphrosaurinae? I know that Mickey Mortimer suggested that the first two
are closely related. Any one have an opinion on this?
