  If you want to be able to quanitify the statement, yes, you do. However, the 
pterosaur shift,
towards larger marine and estuarine/fluvial gliders/fliers, as in 
pteranodontids, azhdarchids, and
tapejarids, only occurs in the middle of the Cretaceous, well before the K/T 
event and does not
appear to have any relevance. The biggist pterosaurs were in the latest 
Cretaceous, but no causal
effect has been determinable, so making assumptions on this matter are horribly 
premature.
