That might be one way to correct it, except that Apatosaurus has always been 
known as Apatosaurus and was never called Brontosaurus except perhaps by 
Bakker. It would have been better had the article read, "_Brontosaurus_, 
formally known as _Apatosaurus_." And therein lies the irony of the sentence: 
the reporters got it exactly backward.
