Re: Cryolophosaurus art critique and Antorbital fenestra

From: "Stacey Burgess" <pheonix2000@hotmail.com>

Last night I finished a drawing of a Cryolophosaurus and while drawing >it I could not decide if I should make the flesh in the Antorbital >fenestra bulging or depressed.

I really don't think a consensus has been reached on this yet. Last I heard, there was some research being done to prove the notion of bulging/depressed fenestrae, only I don't think the work has been published yet. At this point, I'm pretty sure you can pretty much do anything you want to.

Very nice! (Although I'm sure you already knew that. :)

Last night I finished a drawing of a Cryolophosaurus and while drawing it I could not decide if I should make the flesh in the Antorbital fenestra bulging or depressed. I would assume that it would be bulging outward but many times I have assumed things wrongly... Would any of you mind giving me your opinon on bouth the drawing and which direction I should shade the fenestra.
