The poison spur of monotremes may be a synapomorphy of mammals, it is
present in *Jeholodens* and *Zhangheotherium*, IIRC. The poison gland is in
the leg and not homologous with anything I can think of.

There are shrews with poisonous saliva.

The poison of the pitohui is homobatrachotoxin which occurs in some
Amazonian frogs -- an AMAZING case of convergence.
