Geez! I sign back on, ready to report to the assembled mind the latest
Arundel happenings only find leftist diatribe being hurled at us
"conservatives."  Luis, you're a dear friend and I respect your opposing
views  but as is typical, you and the others have been fed a load of
misinformation. And I cannot let it go unchallenged. I am as right wing as
they come and despite the propaganda, I have no problem with your personal
viewpoints and am very TOLERANT of differing views, etc., and I can assure
you there is no concerted, national  effort from the "Vast Right wing
Conspiracy"  to force the "c" word on the nation. I wouldn't  support it even
if it were true. There is a small minority at the national level but they
will fail. It will at most be a nuisance movement. Most of the efforts are by
small to mid town folk and are widely scattered. No real threat and we  (the
National Center for Science Education to which I belong) are addressing that.

Now the effort of our so called friends and allies at the UN to disarm us,
prevent us from implementing a missile defense and forcing us to abide by the
unfair, wealth-redistributionist Kyoto  Protocol, based on the joke of
"Global Warming," is of greater concern to me than a few religious zealots!

The crap that TDC is constantly putting on the air as science is much more a
threat than the "c" people are. Let's deal with them. We all seem to be
agreed on that.

It's a damn shame. We, the USA spent most of 20th century fighting fascism
and communism all over the blessed world only to see it _elected_ into power
in those very nations we spent billions of dollars and millions of lives to
rebuild and defend. You wanted us to lead, we did. We're taking the lead
again now you call it "isolationism". Bullcrap!

And I sure as hell don't like what I have been seeing and hearing,
politically speaking, going on on your side of the pond but that''s YOUR
business and until now, felt it was not my place to say anything publicly. It
is very annoying and offensive to see my country, my party and my president
attacked  and spoken of as if everyone on this list ascribed to the same
(leftwing) viewpoint which is demonstrably incorrect! I will never let that
go unchallenged.

As you recently said to me, let's stick with paleo!

Apologies to anyone else on this list who may not agree with my views, or
were offended and have remained quiet. My intent , really, was not to provoke
a flame war on the DINO list  and was just to address some public insults
that should be addressed publically. Flame me off list if you like.
