Re: JPIII: unmitigated rubbish

I disagree with some of the posts stating that the CG animation was
sub-standard, especially for ILM. Did I see a different film? In the
eight years since the original, there have been many improvements in the
software used to create the beasts and I believe in this film you can
see that. While the film obviously did not have the same 'WOW' factor as
the original, it certainly upped the ante on the animation.
Paleontological inaccuracies aside, I think ILM did a wonderful job...
Yes, I agree. It was not sub-standard in any way. Definitely not less
than in the previous two films. I am intending to see it a second time,
so I will pay extra careful attention to the GGI this time around.
(Directed to Tracey Ford)..The scene where the brachiosaur walks over to
check out the actors was one of my favorite shots in the film. The shot
showcases the neck and leg muscle movement. While I do not consider
myself an expert on brachiosaur movement, I do consider myself an
effects afficionado, and this shot showcases what the animators can do.
What did you find wrong or lacking in this shot? Just curious..Thanks
for any reply...
There was not enough time devoted to the herbivorous species in this
film. I would love to have seen a lot more of _Ankylosaurus_ and
especially, _Stegosaurus_. It's such a majestic creature, but I guess
they decided it received enough focus in TLW. BTW, some already
mentioned that there were errors in the representation of
_Ankylosaurus_. What were they specifically?
