Re: JP3 Thoughts (frilled Dilophosaurus revisited)

So what evidence really is there that _Dilophosaurus_ was without a frill
or the ability to spit venomous goo?<
Well, there are no bones to support the "frill" found with any specimen of
_Dilophosaurus_, nor are there any muscle attachments for the rasing and
lowering of the "frill" on any of the cervical vertebrae. The skull contains
no cavity for the storage of poison, and the teeth are not designed to
deliver venom (no groove or pit at the base of the tooth).

As for Jurassic Park 3, I have some thoughts on the animals. (Spoilers...)

_T. rex_ looked fat, bowbacked, and generally dumpy. I think in a confrontation, once it wraped its jaws around something's neck, it was all over.

_Spinosaurus_ I actually thought was kind of cool, in a freaky kind of way,
although it too had its problems (size, etc.)

I actually enjoyed the "raptors" once I thought of them as ficticious. The
coloration was cool, the their general look has improved since the first
movie. They reminded me of chickens.

_Brachiosaurus_ was a bit to hideous (blue and black zebra with points!?!)
and large for my tastes.

_Pteranodon_ was kinda cool when it was walking along the gangway. But, its
teeh and large size (and malice, and lack of fuzz) didn't make it as cool as
it could have been.

_Ankylosaurus_ looked alright, but I'm no expert.

The hadrosaurs looked massive, but it was kind of a cool scene, since it
reminded me of the first book. They looked awkward running with their arms
tucked in like that. I would imagine them trying more to gallop. Hadrosaur
people?

_Procompsognathus_ was I think just thrown in for fun, no real reason.
All in all, I thought there were too little "wonder" scenes, and the action
to constant. It all seemed very rushed. However, the "raptor" saying "Allan"
was my favorite humor point (how did he know they looked different
though?!?)

On a serious note, are there any known vertebrae from _Koolasuchus_, and if
so, where would some pictures of these be available?
